The Home for the Holidays celebrations return to Clinton Square, Syracuse.

The event – at which the city’s official Christmas tree will be lit – will take place on Friday, November 26th from 6:00 p.m.

The annual event was held virtually in 2020, but will take place in person again this year. It will include musical entertainment from the Brownskin Band (a local Syracuse R&B / soul band) and student singers from Onondaga Hill Middle School.

Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh and Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens will stand on stage with the three young winners of the Holidays Around the World art competition to light the tree. Santa Claus is also expected.

This year, the ceremony will be taped and viewed online from mid-December.
