  1. Quogue renounces legal pot sale. New York State legalizes recreational marijuana Ownership and consumption in March, but towns and villages have until December 31st to decide whether to opt out of selling or local consumption in their communities. the Quogue village has joined the growing list of East End Communities to opt out of selling recently legalized recreational marijuana in pot shops or cannabis cafes within their borders. But there the neighbor Shinnecock Indian Nation announced plans to open a pharmacy in. at Southampton this year, and the tribe is not bound by city laws, some especially City of Southampton Leaders have questioned whether an opt-out would be effective.   2. Secondary school Football coach Kyle Moodt would have life saving brain surgery just a few days before the tour Bellport High to a championship. Moodt prepared his Bellport High School Squad for the Division II Suffolk County Championship on Saturday night. Moodt said he was confident his team would win Lindenhurst, but added that he wasn’t sure he would be there to witness. In July, Moodt started with an overwhelming headache isolated on one side. Numerous test rounds and scans finally led him to Stony Brook Hospital Where is he had surgery. “I felt better hours later. Honestly, the pain I had been in for months was gone,” said Moodt, who was from Center Moriches. Moodt said he hopes his story will help someone who is having a headache. Dr. Guido, Moodt’s surgeon, urges anyone with a new unilateral headache to get examined, especially if you are over 30 years old. (CBS New York)
