Syracuse goalkeeper Conor Rose recorded 25 saves and the Cougars defeated hosts Cicero-North Syracuse 7-3 in the championship game of the C-NS Optimist tournament on Thursday.
“Punctual saves tonight as C-NS had a great pushback but we were fortunate to have a rock solid Conor Rose tonight,” said Neal Purcell, Syracuse coach. “Today we got our group back to play team hockey after many individual games this week. Our children did a good job responding to some adjustments and our leadership group did a lot to make this easier for our group. “
