This is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a national holiday but celebrated as “It’s not a day off, It’s a day on!” has become known. A message clearly stated on the flyer announcing Tucker Missionary Church’s 15th Annual MLK Day Celebration. Located at 515 Oakwood Ave. Syracuse, Rev. DeCarto D. Draper, Jr. Host. Join this TMBC Ministry of Music for the annual celebration of the life and legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King. The celebration begins at 12 p.m. Guest Preacher Rev. Michael Aaron Poindexter, Pastor Macedonia Baptist Church, Albany New York.
Mary Nelson Youth Center presents Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration: Giving Back to the Community. It will be shown, eyes on the price; After the film, they hose down a mega giveaway that gives back clothing, household items, and grocery baskets to the community. (Tickets will be issued during the film). They’re also giving away a 50-inch Roku Smart TV.
