Lost and Found Love with Sara deBeer; Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 6:30 p.m In this fairytale program, the characters experience love in different ways. From the twists and turns of romantic love to a mother determined to save her beloved daughter, these stories invite listeners to ponder the many meanings contained in the word “love.”

In the summer of 1978, Sara deBeer was working for a library program in Albany, New York, telling stories to children in city parks and housing projects. In the summer of 1980 she had won a Yale grant to wander the west coast of Ireland and listen to traditional cashiers. In all the years that followed, Sara’s great love remained telling traditional folk tales from the cultures of the world. Listeners discover the richness of each culture while appreciating the universality of human experience.

The library will be closed on Monday February 20, 2023 for Presidents Day.
