Two Syracuse Crunch strikers sign 3-year pacts with Tampa Bay Lightning

Syracuse, NY – Saturday’s Tampa Bay Lightning secured the services of two Syracuse crunch strikers who could very soon be regulars on their lineup.

The Lightning signed Taylor Raddysh and Boris Katchouk for three-year contracts with an average annual salary of $ 758,333. The first year of the contracts is a two-way arrangement, the second and third years are a one-way street.

The 23-year-old Raddysh made 27 appearances for Syracuse last season, scoring 12 goals, 29 points and 10 penalty minutes. He took first place in the crunch for both goals and power play goals (three) and took second place for points. Raddysh’s 12 goals finished 19th in the AHL last season.

Raddysh has played 159 AHL games in his career with the crunch in the past three seasons, scoring 49 goals and 110 points. It was originally drafted by the Lightning in the second round, 58th overall, in the 2016 draft.

The 23-year-old Katchouk played 29 games for the crunch last season, scoring 11 goals and 34 points as well as a score of +17 and 18 penalty minutes. He led the crunch in assists (23), points and plus / minus. Katchouk also took fifth place for plus / minus, sixth place for assists and eighth place for points in the AHL.

Katchouk has played 164 AHL games in his career over the past three seasons, all with Syracuse, scoring 36 goals and 89 points and 109 penalty minutes. Last season he set career highs for assists, points and plus / minus.

Katchouk was originally drafted by the Lightning in the second round, 44th overall, in the 2016 NHL Draft.
