The Syracuse police are investigating overnight shootings

SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police say two men were shot dead in the early morning hours of 300 block on West Genesee Street Sunday.

Officials responded with a call to the location of a gunfight with injured persons shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday morning and found evidence of gunfire fired, including a building and a car that were hit by gunfire.

A short time later, a 29-year-old and a 26-year-old man came to Upstate Hospital with injuries. The 29-year-old was shot in the arm and chest, the 26-year-old was shot several times in the lower body.

Both victims are expected to survive. The investigation is active and ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.
