Syracuse, NY — A promising wide receiver will be sidelined as a result of an injury sustained earlier this week in practice.
Isaiah Jones, a third-year receiver who is competing for a role at outside receiver, watched practice from the sideline with his arm in a sling. The school didn’t specify the injury or say how long he will be out.
Jones has played in 14 career games, mostly on special teams, through two seasons. He has mixed in with the first-team offense throughout the offseason as the Orange looks to add more juice to its passing attack.
Jones was born in Pennsylvania before moving to Florida and attending Cocoa High School, east of Orlando.
Before SU, Jones was enrolled at El Camino in California.
