Smoothie King opened 77 locations in 2022

Smoothie King announced that the brand has signed franchise and territory development agreements in 2022 to add over 160 stores to new and existing markets. More than half of the agreements signed are with existing franchisees, who have contributed to the company’s $618 million in system-wide sales and continue to be a driving force behind Smoothie King’s expansion. In addition to strengthening its development pipeline, Smoothie King opened 77 new stores in key target markets in 2022, including Albany, New York; Cleveland, Ohio and Washington, DC

With landmark franchise development, Smoothie King is expected to open more than 100 locations in 2023 and is committed to helping guests achieve their individual health goals through its purpose-driven menu. The brand has a research and development team dedicated to testing and launching new product offerings to enhance the menu, increase traffic and meet the evolving needs of today’s health-conscious diners.

To position its operators for success, Smoothie King offers a variety of prototypes for franchisees to consider as they build their portfolios, including a new drive-only prototype that debuted in 2022. For its guests, the design stands on one Area of ​​approximately 800 square feet and features a traditional drive-through lane on one side of the building, with a lane for online orders and third-party delivery on the other side. It also features a convenient front-facing pickup window that allows guests to have their custom smoothie hand-delivered.
