NY 454 Crash, LIRR Train Delays: LI Patch AM Traffic Digest

ON THE ROAD…

NASSAU COUNTY

From 9 am to 3 pm, construction on the Southern State Parkway will shut down one lane of traffic in both directions between Exit 18 and Exit 17N

Construction on the Meadowbrook State Parkway will close one southbound lane at Exit M4, from 9 am to 3 pm

From 9 am to 3 pm, construction will shut down one lane of traffic between Bellmore Avenue and Wantagh Avenue on eastbound NY 27

SUFFOLK COUNTY

As of 7:41 am, a crash on westbound NY 454 is blocking the left lane at New Highway (Smithtown)

From 9 am to 3 pm, construction on the Southern State Parkway will shut down one lane in both directions between Heckscher State Parkway END ROUTE (Islip) and Exit 40 – Robert Moses Causeway

Roadwork on NY 111 will close one lane in both directions between West Suffolk Avenue and I-495 LIE (Islip), from 9 am to 3 pm

ON THE LIRR…

As of 8:25 am, trains are running on or close to schedule on all LIRR branches, except the Port Jefferson line.

Per the LIRR: “The 6:57 am train from Port Jefferson due Hunterspoint Avenue at 8:43 am has departed 10 minutes late after receiving substitute equipment.”
