Dangerous weather expected in CNY on Sunday afternoon and evening

Syracuse, NY – Dangerous weather is expected in central New York from Sunday afternoon and possibly well into the evening, the National Weather Service said.

Snow gusts or isolated heavy snow showers are to be expected, said the weather service in a dangerous weather forecast. Only one to five inches of snow is expected, but the heavy showers could create dangerous driving conditions, the weather service said.

The outlook for dangerous weather was issued for the following counties:

  • Oneida
  • Yates
  • Seneca
  • Cayuga
  • Onondaga
  • Steuben
  • Schuyler
  • Chemung
  • Tompkins
  • Madison
  • Cortland
  • Chenango
  • Otsego
  • Tioga
  • Broome
  • Delaware
