Meet David Betts. He is an assemblage artist who creates whimsical creatures from everyday objects.

After working in the corporate world for over 30 years, the Mattituck-based retiree has found joy in scouring North Fork for unwanted items and giving new meaning to items like old paintbrushes and broken dressers. His overriding aim is to make people laugh – every time he completes a play he invents a funny story about it. Betts’ art can be found at In The Attic Too in Mattituck and on his Instagram account @betts622.
