The Buffalo Sabers can prove themselves against Carolina tonight

The Buffalo Sabers will be back in action tonight when they take on the Carolina Hurricanes and this will be a big outing for the Blue and Gold.

Before the All-Star break, the Buffalo Sabers host the Carolina Hurricanes. It will be a tough test as Carolina is one of the best teams in the NHL. But as far as the Sabers go, a win will put them in a playoff spot.

Yes, you read it right. If Buffalo wins tonight, they have a playoff spot in February. It’s crazy to think the Buffalo Sabers are in contention for a postseason spot, but they are. It won’t be easy, however, as they will face one of the NHL’s powerhouses.

Carolina will play Buffalo back-to-back in the second half. But even if they may be tired, they are still a very dangerous team. The Sabers haven’t played a game since last Saturday, so they’ll be well rested for this very good Hurricanes team.

As for the game itself, this will be a huge opportunity for the Sabers to prove themselves. As Buffalo fans know, this team has beaten some of the best teams in the league this year. However, Carolina is another hurdle. The last time Buffalo saw Carolina, the Hurricanes defeated the Sabers 5-3 in November.

A Buffalo Sabers win against Carolina tonight would be huge

If the Sabers make the playoffs and potentially want a run, there’s a very good chance Carolina could be a team Buffalo sees. Buffalo needs to be ready for Carolina tomorrow night. In their last game against Minnesota, the Sabers played great despite losing the game.

They must exert the same energy against the hurricanes. As of this writing, the Hurricanes are 32-9-8 and played the Los Angeles Kings at home last night. Regardless of the result, Carolina is a strong team and will give Buffalo a tough challenge.

As I said before, the Sabers can beat the better teams in the NHL. If they can play the brand of Sabers hockey that we know, it’s definitely possible that Buffalo will go into the All-Star break in a playoff spot after defeating one of the NHL’s best teams.
