Syracuse Orange Football: 2023 schedule announced

Syracuse Orange’s 2023 football schedule has been released. With the ACC’s elimination of divisions, schools will play three opponents each season in the new 3-3-5 schedule, and the remaining groups of 5 will rotate annually.

As a refresher, Syracuse will play Boston College, Florida State and Pitt each season. In 2023, the orange meets Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. In 2024, this group will consist of Duke, Louisville, Miami, NC State and Virginia.

Now here is the full schedule for 2022:

Saturday, September 2nd: Colgate Raiders

Saturday September 9th: Western Michigan Broncos

Saturday September 16: at Boilermakers from Purdue

Saturday, September 23: Black Knights of the Army

Saturday, September 30th: Clemson Tiger

Saturday October 7th: at Tar heels from North Carolina

Saturday October 14: at Florida State Seminoles

BYE

Thursday October 26: at Virginia Tech Hokies

Friday, November 3rd: Boston College Eagle

Saturday November 11th: Pittsburgh Panthers at Yankee Stadium

Saturday November 18: at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Saturday, November 25th: Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Syracuse’s ACC schedule is highlighted by a brutal three-week stretch that begins with Clemson and ends with two away games against UNC and Florida State. Each team had at least nine wins in 2022. The bye comes in week eight, followed by two weekday games before Syracuse returns to Yankee Stadium to play Pitt. Senior Day is the final game of the season against Wake Forest, similar to 2019.

We’ll break that down in more detail this week, but what’s the first thing that catches your eye?
