Suffolk Police are investigating a punctured tire at a hotel near LI MacArthur Airport

Suffolk County Police are investigating tire slashing on more than a dozen cars at a property near Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma over the past two weeks.

Police said all vehicles had been in the Clarion Hotel parking lot on Veterans Memorial Highway since December 17, but not all vehicle owners stayed at the hotel.

Sometime between December 17 and December 29, two tires on a 2021 Ford were found slashed. Tires were also slashed on a 2021 Cadillac between December 23-31 and on a 2023 Hyundai between December 23-30.

At least five vehicles were found with punctured tires on Christmas Eve, and tires were also punctured on a 2021 Subaru between December 24 and December 27 and on a 2021 Volvo between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.

Three other vehicles were also found with punctured tires on Christmas Day.

Police have not made any arrests in any of the criminal mischief cases. Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
