Sabers rise at Ryan Miller Night

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) — A sell-out crowd arrived early Thursday night to honor Ryan Miller. The Sabers rewarded fans for sticking around with an exciting win.

Dylan Cozens scored a breakaway 12 seconds into overtime to give the Sabers a 3-2 win over the Islanders and dragged Miller onto the ice for a celebration afterwards. The comeback win was the latest example of the Sabers raising their level of play on special occasions for the team and its fanbase.

“The building obviously rocked,” said Cozens. “On a night like this when it’s packed and they’re celebrating such an incredible player for this organization, Ryan Miller, you just want so badly to win. It really spurs us on to win it for him on his special night and to win it for all the fans that came.”
