Reward suspended for information on driver in deadly hit-and-run in Holbrook

Police are searching for the driver who fatally struck a pedestrian last month and fled the scene in Holbrook.

According to police, Alan Lepre was on his way home from work when he was struck by a vehicle at around 10:30 p.m. on November 19 while crossing the Veterans Memorial Highway at Grundy Avenue.

Lepre, 59, of Holbrook, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver fled in what investigators say is a white 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee or newer. The vehicle likely sustained damage to the right front quarter panel.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-220-TIPS.
