ETSU’s Jordan King is SoCon Player of the Week | WJHL

(WJHL) — Buccaneers junior guard Jordan King dropped 42 points in a game last week and his performance didn’t go unnoticed by the conference.

King was named SoCon men’s basketball player of the week Monday after averaging 27.5 points in two games.

The Albany, New York native posted a career-high 42 points in 14-of-19 shooting against the Citadel on Wednesday. King threw eight three-pointers and also had seven steals in the 96-74 win.

King had 13 points and two rebounds in Saturday’s loss to Mercer.

He became just the sixth ETSU player to score at least 40 points in a game and the first SoCon player to score that many points since Furman’s Jordan Lyons scored 54 points in 2018.

ETSU returns to action Wednesday night and welcomes Samford to a 7:00 p.m. tip.
