Bills survive the scare of the dolphins with a rally to win the AFC wild card game

The Buffalo Bills continue.

The AFC No. 2 fended off divisional rivals Miami Dolphins to win their wildcard game at Highmark Stadium 34-31 on Sunday.

After leading 17-0 in the first half, the Bills needed to catch up from a 24-20 deficit in the third quarter to stay alive in the NFL playoffs.

Josh Allen’s 23-yard touchdown pass to Gabe Davis helped keep it 34-24 with 2:07 in the third, which turned out to be the difference.

Buffalo had to stop Miami in a 4th and 6th near midfield late in the fourth to hold their own.
