Bills S Damar Hamlin takes part in Sunday’s Divisional Round matchup against Bengals

Hamlin’s presence on matchday is the latest positive development for the 24-year-old as he continues to recover and is closely monitored by doctors.

Last week Hamlin visited the Bills facility for the first time and was able to personally greet his teammates. On January 9, Hamlin was released from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he had been receiving treatment since the January 2 events, and transferred the same day to Buffalo General Medical Center. Hamlin was then discharged from the hospital two days later.

The Bills’ season took an emotional turn following Hamlin’s collapse and ongoing recovery.

From home, Hamlin witnessed the Bills’ first game of Week 18 in a home game against the Patriots that included an impressive 96-yard kickoff return from Nyheim Hines in the opening game. Hamlin FaceTimed with the team after the win before being presented with the ball. Hamlin stayed home for the Bills’ subsequent playoff game during SuperWild Card weekend, where Buffalo defeated the Dolphins to advance to the Divisional Round.

Hamlin’s welcome back is sure to send shivers down the spines of spectators at Highmark Stadium and across the country.
