Albany New York to be home of Momentive headquarters, research center

Waterford, NY — Momentive Performance Materials will relocate its global headquarters from Waterford to Niskayuna, NY, allowing the high-performance silicone manufacturing company to remain in the metropolitan area of Albany.

“Moving forward with another step in our previously announced Waterford transformation, we are committed to maintaining a strong presence in the Capital Region and expanding our regional presence,” Momentive President and CEO Sam Conzone said in a statement. “This move provides an opportunity for Momentive to upgrade and expand our R&D/technology labs to a state-of-the-art building and co-locate our teams.”

The corporate staff will be the first to move in, expected this fall. The research team will move in when the center is complete, set for some time in 2024.
