  1. A man in Commack was seriously wounded by stabbing Monday night. According to Suffolk County Police, officers responded to a house on Walter Court after a 911 call reported an injured man inside his residence, at approximately 9:30 pm When officers arrived, they found a 30-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. (smithtownmatters.com)

Hauppauge high school students begin selecting their courses for next year they will have the opportunity to take American Sign Language – the first time in more than 20 years! “It’s such a culture-enriched course,” said Lori Campbell, who oversees the languages โ€‹โ€‹program for the district. “It really gives children a broad view of how different people learn.   4. A woman was followed from Walt Whitman Shops to her Deer Park home, then robbed of her newly purchased $3,100 Louis Vuitton pocketbook. Suffolk County police say the woman saw a woman filming her. Authorities say when she arrived at home, a moment later, a man was seen exiting a gold Honda Odyssey from the passenger side. He smashed the rear window of her vehicle, removed the purse, and was then picked up by the driver of the Honda. Anyone with information about these incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS. (WABC TV)
